Thursday Thirteen: The Toddler Puke Edition

  1. Its easier to have a potty learned toddler sick than one still in diapers.
  2. Explaining the BRAT diet to a toddler is hard.
  3. Explaining the BRAT diet to the healthy toddler sisters of a sick toddler is even harder.
  4. Its a lot easier to get probiotics into a toddler who loves kombucha and kefir.
  5. Medicines are not the answer to everything.
  6. I love the DVR.
  7. I love coffee.
  8. I don't love laundry.
  9. I loathe changing bed linens multiple times a night.
  10. Having four beds in the house is awesome even if they aren't used most of the time.
  11. Convincing healthy toddlers to let their sick sister sleep alone is pointless.
  12. Listen to G-d. He'll steer you right. (Like cancelling a whale watching trip the day before the puking starts so that bugs aren't shared with the community.)
  13. The best sight for my tired eyes is a happy, healthy, bouncing, previously sick toddler.

Thursday Thirteen

aka I don't have a good post ready so I'm joining this meme.

Here are 13 things I know I should do because I feel so much better and life runs more smoothly, but I don't.

1. Eat low carb.

2. Eat gluten-free or at least low gluten.

3. Drink water. A lot of water.

4. Walk.

5. Use an electric toothbrush.

6. Take my vitamins.

7. Use my neti pot.

8. Really stretch after I work out; not that half-hearted lame thing I call stretching.

9. Go to sleep early.

10. Wake up early.

11. Eat raw veggies.

12. Stick to my menus.

13. Go to Disneyland.

Random Thoughts

Its been a while since I joined in on Thursday 13, but here we go again. We'll see where this takes us.

  1. I need to get to a different dentist because i'm still not 100% convinced that this bridge is done right.
  2. I can't believe I forgot my $15 gift card to Target...again.
  3. I like my new phone.
  4. Please, please, please let Aba somehow learn how to work my old phone overnight so that he will stop asking me questions.
  5. I'm going to kill this fly if it takes all night.
  6. The Metformin is working much more quickly than I recall. Yay!
  7. I really missed blogging regularly.
  8. Aba fell asleep on the sofa again. I wanted to watch TV but now I have to move him first.
  9.  Why can't there be a universal connector for all things computer? I have a huge box of cables on my desk that I can't toss and rarely use.
  10.  Can someone tell me why the previous tenant disn't just take the nail out instead of hammering a row on nails to hang a picture.
  11.  I think i lost my comfy glasses. Bah.
  12.  When the girls get into the car and ask if we are going to Disneyland I want to take them there.
  13. Despite the girls being in a very trying stage, I really do love them and am happy I'm their Ima.

The inaugural issue! Think it might become as valuable as a Superman #1? (Yes, I know it was actually Action Comics.)

In honor of this being issue #1, here are thirteen #1s I'd like to do this summer.

6. Do once-a-month cooking for a month.

7. Send a postcard to Post Secret.

8. Have a picnic with my girls.

9. Take my girls to the beach.

10. Host a playdate at the house.
